In recent years there has been a growing interest in integrating light music into musical education.  This prompted me to compose a number of pieces based on various popular styles. Written for trio, the pieces are eminently suitable for the group classes often given in music schools.  The parts can of course be doubled, tripled,etc. 
Chord symbols in some of the pieces make it fairly simple to add chord instruments (keyboard, guitar) or even acomplete combo (bass and percussion). You can also play along with the CD. The pieces give the student a good idea of what can be played besides the usual (classical) material.  They have a distinctive character and are arranged in ascending order of difficulty (from the 2nd half of the 1st year of tuition onward).  The compass of the pieces in Flute Time is from d1 to e3.  The rhythmic structure is based on recurring patterns.  GRADE 1-2
